Herbstwind came to our stable as a 4-year-old in March 2022. He was discovered by Marion Drache, who presented him to me as a 3-year-old at the Trakehner Stallion Market after he had been ridden with confidence by Melli Schulze. His sire “Kros” competed successfully in eventing under Jens Hoffrogge.

Herbstwind is a typey Trakehner with three solid basic gaits. His rational canter and jumping ability give hope for a good eventing horse. He is easy to ride, but sometimes has a bit of a mischievous streak and is always up for a bit of fun. At the Trakehner Federal Tournament he presented himself excellently with Greta in his age class.

Herbstwind is owned by the TIO 2032 Trakehner Initiative Olympia Foundation. The foundation’s goal is to help highly talented Trakehner horses find their way into the big sport. The basis of the support is the healthy and species-appropriate breeding, the real basic training, and the age- and development-appropriate sporting support.
