The gorgeous Black Oldenburger gelding, Diafys, has been at our stable since February 2024. He is a cracker!
Diafys came into this world in 2016, bred by the Swedish breeder, Dr Lena Nyström.
The Feldhaus family first discovered him as a 4 year old and Frederike Feldhaus already knew after the first few steps, that he was the one!
I can totally understand him; Diafys has an unbelievably friendly, attentive and curious nature, views every day as a new adventure with his big round eyes and little alert ears.
Diafys lets his talent shine under saddle. I just love his dynamic, smooth movement. With this he competed at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf as a 5 year old, the following year managed fourth place in the final and then the next year he took home the winners sash, winning the 7 year old dressage horse Bundeschampionat final under his previous trainer, Stefanie Wittmann.
Diafys has fantastic cadence and power, a strong, ground covering canter, a very good walk and an elastic, swinging trot. He is a big framed type, with talent for collection and “Durchlässigkeit”, always giving 100%, always wanting to do the right thing, making him such a joy to ride and work with.
I’m looking forward to what our journey together will bring. He has so much talent, is so likeable and is an absolute gentleman, Diafys makes every day enjoyable.
