Thanks to Sandra Auffarth, I became aware of Kallista.
The mare immediately fascinated me with her special presence and athletic build.
To me, she has the ideal pedigree of an eventing horse, with the Holsteiner show jumping stallion Chatman as her sire and a remarkable Thoroughbred line on her dam’s side. Her dam’s sire is the Thoroughbred Lavaron, a German Derby winner, and her grandsire is the stallion Königsstuhl xx—the very same grandsire as Bobby’s.
Her incredible jumping and galloping ability, always balanced and composed, won me over within minutes. I was immediately impressed and completely convinced.
When I look her in the eye, I’m captivated by her confidence. She knows what she wants and what she’s capable of.
I was able to inspire my loyal and long-time dressage horse owners, Joan Johnston and Joanna Crilly, to join me in this journey with such a special eventing horse.
We’re excited for the journey ahead with Kallista, “the most beautiful one”!
