Vayron was bought by the Spiekermann family as a foal, when he was only a few weeks old. At the age of three, he arrived at the Spiekermanns’ farm from the breeder. He had a large head and long legs in relation to the rest of his body and just wanted to grow.
At four years old, he was first ridden and given plenty of time to mature.
It wasn’t until he was six that he started filling out and developing muscles.
In the summer of 2018, my former trainee, Helen Langehanenberg, took over Vayron, and in the summer of 2022, he went to Daniel Bachmann Andersen, who trained him to championship maturity. At the Olympic Games in Paris, the two won the team silver medal and finished seventh in the individual competition!
Since the end of October 2024, Vayron has been stabled with me.
I have never ridden such a large horse that is so sensitive.
As a stallion, he is very well-behaved with other horses and has a charming personality that captivates us all. He has a special charisma, great movements with a lot of swing and expression.
I immediately felt very comfortable on him, and at the end of November, we dared our first competition start in Peerlbergen. The debut was successful with a victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix, and our next start was directly in Amsterdam, a stage of the FEI Dressage World Cup. In a very strong starting field, we were able to gain many more valuable experiences in both the Grand Prix and our freestyle debut.
Vayron gives me a great riding feeling; he just wants to give everything for his rider.
What a gift it is to be able to ride this special horse every day.
