Open Training

Once a month we give interested participants (app 50 people) the chance to experience a “normal training morning” with us. We show the horses in our everyday training exercises and explain the training for each horse and why we do what we do.

We begin at 9 am with a walk through the barn. Then we head to the arena to watch the horses being ridden. At 10:30 we have a short coffee break and the chance to discuss the training with Ingrid. We then have a second training session finishing the morning at 12.30.

The Open Training costs 50 € per person, with 10 € of that being donated to various charities. Children under 16 pay 25 €.

Meeting Point:

Turnierstall Ingrid Klimke
Hof Schulze Brüning
Kanalstr. 340
48159 Münster

The next dates will be successively determined and published, since they are based on the tournament calendar as well as the cadre courses and training plans.

For equestrian enthusiasts, around the world, the legendary Ingrid Klimke needs no introduction.

She is a German eventing rider that has competed at five Olympic Games from 2000 to 2016.  With her horse Abraxxas, she won two gold medals in team eventing.  One at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the the second at the 2012 Summer Olympics.  At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Ingrid achieved team silver with Hale-Bob, who she has continued to compete with at the international level.  The pair most recently went home with the individual bronze at the World Games in Tryon, USA.

Ingrid is the daughter of equestrian Reiner Klimke and like her father, she rides in both the eventing and dressage disciplines at international events.

Among many notable achievements; in January of 2012, Ingrid was appointed to the position of “Reitmeister” (Riding Master, a special title of the German Equestrian Federation).  It was presented to her for her outstanding success in the saddle, long term success as an extraordinary trainer and for her impeccable commitment to the sport of riding.  She is only the second woman ever to be appointed as “Reitmeister”.

In 2018 she was voted as “Sportswoman of the Year 2017” by the city of Münster- for the ninth time. No other sportsperson in the state of Nordrhein- Westfalen has been awarded the Title so many times.

It is an absolute privilege and honour to have Ingrid visit Canada once again to share her knowledge, experience and insight into what has propelled her to the very top of equestrian sport.

Please don’t hesitate to join us for this amazing weekend affair.
