Cascamara came to us in August 2019 from her breeder Helmut Bergendahl.
She caught my eye positively at a cross-country horse test. Although she had a foal at four years old, she was able to qualify for the Federal Championship of 5-year-old event horses.
Her pedigree as an eventing horse is predestined: from her sire Cascadello II she has jumping blood and on her mother’s side from Templer GL xx the full-blooded part as a bush horse.
Mara is a closed model with active hindquarters and a particularly good canter. She is light-footed, hard-working, and very well balanced. In the field she has a lot of heart and courage. She jumps with a lot of overviews, is fine to ride and sensitive. Her smart little head and her lovely and affectionate nature inspire us. She is a “sugar sweet” little mare!
I am happy to have a community of owners with Claudia Lauber – whose husband Andreas is also the co-owner of SAP Asha P. It is a lot of fun for me to train the rideable mare in a versatile way and to bring her into the sport in the long run.
In 2020, she gained a lot of experience in 2* and developed excellently in all three competitions. She mastered her first CCI2*-L outstandingly and became World Champion of the 6-year-old eventing horses in Le Lion d’Angers. What an unbelievable success! It was also my first title win in the 6-year-old eventing horses.
In 2021, unfortunately, Mara also came too little to the start, due to my injury break. She also competed in CCI3* and developed especially well in dressage. Mara has a special connection to Carmen, who can put her down on command – what a confidence booster!
In 2022 Mara gained experience in CCI3*-S classes and was our “loop pony”. In her first CCI3*-L she was 6th and won the CCI-3*-S in Hamm-Rhynern. She was also placed in front at “normal” shows in both M-dressage and M-jumping.
Cascamara has matured so much this year that I am looking forward to the upcoming 4* season.
